With the launch of a new eco-friendly stationery and paper goods company, Eco Nature wanted an Instagram feed that was eye-catching and educated consumers about the brand and its products.
Telling a story and selling a product, through social media marketing
As more retailers announce strategies to reduce their environmental impact, the demand is growing for products that have eco-friendly credentials. Design Group developed a new brand – Eco Nature who create paper goods using recycled paper and other sustainable innovative packaging solutions to support this growing market. As a new business, they needed to launch with a bang and instantly draw in potential customers.
Design Group approached TFA, with previous social media marketing success, to support their social media journey. We created Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts and weekly posts to build brand and product awareness following Eco Nature’s journey, from pre-launch marketing to product and range launches once fully in business.
For the first Eco Nature posts to appear on the Instagram feed, we created a 9-grid, one square piece of artwork is cut into nine segments but appears as one large post when you view the Instagram profile. It created a brilliant visual and impactful introduction before products were purchasable. Every individual square works in its own right either by showcasing a product or a fact about their products (e.g. being 100% recycled products used, or UK-based from design to distribution).
10k organic followers from 0 in 5 months
Working closely with the Eco Nature creative director, and were provided reference documents regarding visual style, post types and copywriting style. From there, we created month-in-advance plans of what we wanted to post week-in-week-out with accompanying imagery, copy and hashtags. We delivered a mix of photography posts (either product-based or nature-inspired using Woodland Trust supplied photography), products on eye-catching backgrounds, motion graphic videos and text-based to ensure the Eco Nature Instragam feed is full of variety to keep viewers engaged.
The client has been impressed, throughout the project, with our creativity and how we fully embrace the Eco Nature mindset and the visual prowess of the Instagram feed. With strict targets of audience building we had to adhere to, we managed to get Eco Nature to 10,000 followers within 5 months. Also, the strong uptake we have received from competitions, using sharing and account following tactics, saw mounting user engagement and increased brand awareness. We have also seen Eco Nature tagged in people’s Instagram stories of their products found in Tesco and other supermarket chains.
