Updating DTE’s Website Platform

Dynamic Technologies Europe Ltd (DTE) is an international infrastructure and technology services provider, dedicated to delivering tailored solutions that meet each customer’s specific needs. From data and electrical systems to wireless technology, IT networking, retail and warehousing logistics, and even financial support, DTE goes the extra mile to ensure the right fit for every project.

Sometimes, needing a new website isn’t just about updating the look, or branding, it can be the admin of a site that clients sometimes find difficult to navigate.

Updated software for easy administration:

DTE were finding their Magento platform made updating the content of their website difficult, and wanted to transition to a more user-friendly WordPress installation. However, they wanted to keep their e-commerce megastore running on the existing platform.

Managing this brief was a breeze for our talented web development team, and the switch for DTE has been an easy one. We kept the layout true to their previous website, and put a modern twist on the design, making it easier and quicker to use, and clearer than ever before.

Website development:

Our web development team collaborated closely with an external digital agency to develop a WordPress solution that replaced specific pages of a Magento store. This project required clear and effective communication between our team, the client, and the external agency to guarantee flawless alignment.

New design elements:

Our design team recognised that the previous website was missing several crucial elements needed to achieve full brand consistency and enhance user-friendliness. To keep branding on-point throughout, we created images, iconography, visual feedback and shadows with DTE’s branding colours.

Our UX/UI team enhanced the website’s design to make it more intuitive and enjoyable for DTE’s customers to navigate. We also incorporated Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), by strategically placing visual cues throughout the site, guiding users to take specific actions and click on key buttons throughout, acting as a subtle guide for them.

The site needed a shift in focus from the client-centric approach to highlighting DTE’s capabilities. To address this, we implemented strategic adjustments to the information architecture and typography, optimising content hierarchy to enhance usability. These changes made the site more user-friendly and scannable, creating a clear flow that ensured the content was organised by relevance, improving the overall user experience.
